'Sing me'

'Everybody is a song and everybody should be sung.
My role as an artist is to be one of showing the observer those qualities of truth and beauty that lie beneath the surface of every human being.
We believe that the thoughts inside our heads are collected as if in some secure and private safe, each equipped with only one key and from which
we alone are allowed to serve ourselves and nobody has access.
We gather experiences throughout our lives and think they are our own private possessions, but through the eyes of the person I am going to paint,
I try to 'slip' into their world and have a peek. These little bits and pieces I can have a glimpse on, then become a whole picture. Imagine you can feel another's concern, love and pain and happiness as you feel your own. Remember things you never knew. Feel you love the love left behind by people
who came into your life, then ended up playing with you as your enchanting self put a spell on them.
It is my wish to try to reveal the character of the person whose portrait I paint, to allow the beauty within,
that life, to emerge to demonstrate their moments of splendor.
Everybody is a song and everybody should be sung. I am in touch with beauty and the rhythm of the earth. Let me sing you.'
